A Lil' Ole' Rant.
November 06, 2008
When I cast my vote this past Tuesday, I voted for the person (not color) that I thought would help our Country, the person who stood the closest to the things I believe in and who I felt could get the job done. Now, I don't want to get into a big political discussion here on my blog but I am going to open my mouth because the last day or so all I have heard are a bunch of moaning white people complaining and predicting failure. They really should be ashamed of themselves, I know I am ashamed of them.
Whether you voted for Barack Obama - or not, the fact is he is now our President Elect. Being negative isn't going to change anything, predicting what he is going to screw up isn't helping anything and walking around all day full of hate just makes you prejudice and makes you look bad in general.
Seriously he can't do a worse job than the man we have been dealing with for the last eight years now can he?
Is he going to make changes you will like? No, not all the time. Do you honestly believe you would have agreed with everything John McCain would have done if he had been elected? And Bush, of boy has he made some changes I think are ludicrous and I'm pretty sure you would agree with that.
For now, here are some things you can focus on:
He will bring them home soon, very soon.
He will reform the tax code to get the most fortunate in this country paying their fair share.
He will place people in charge of regulatory agencies that actually do their jobs instead of bending over for big business.
He will expand health care options.
He will act like a grown up in the foreign policy arena which is more than we can say for the current pres...
Will he accomplish everything that you want him to? No. Will he accomplish everything that he wants to? No. But I encourage you to think positively and focus on what we're getting rather than what we're not.
